The Revolutionary World of Captain Swing
Captain Swing was a Norwich-based band that formed in 1982 and gigged consistently until 1985.
The band was formed by founder members Richard Cox and Paul Kent, who then recruited Phil Nash and Martin Shepherd. This was the first incarnation of the band, which went on to increase in size during its last year of regular gigging from 1984-85.
The band performed regularly on the Norwich circuit and was formed and based at UEA, where the band met, and practiced in the UEA University Village.
The band produced three recordings, which are finally being rediscovered and digitally reproduced. Please see 'Recordings' for links to 'Capt. Swing' via:

Captain Swing recently reformed for a rehearsal in October 2010 with a view to making further recordings.
